Wichita, Kansas, is full of bistros and restaurants where you can get this delicious entrée, but not all establishments stand out as the best in town. Here are three elegant restaurants in the Wichita area that specialize in steaks and are well-worth your attention.

Greystone Steak & Seafood

Greystone Steak & Seafood is one of the most sophisticated and beautiful restaurants in town. The atmosphere is classy in a way no other local restaurant can match. If it’s a steak you’re after, no matter which you order, the cut will come from wet-aged, Midwest, corn-fed beef. Here are the steaks you can choose from at Greystone:

  • 6- or 8-ounce filet.
  • 12-ounce bone-in filet.
  • 10- or 14-ounce NY strip.
  • 14-ounce rib-eye.
  • 14-ounce marinated rib-eye.
  • 22-ounce cowboy rib-eye.
  • 20-ounce porterhouse.

The restaurant also serves several specialties, including pork chops, Colorado lamb, and seafood platters. For drinks, you can pick from a wide selection of wines, cocktails, martinis, and beers. Guests are seated at intimate two- and four-person tables. For larger parties and events, you can reserve one of the five special rooms.

Greystone is located at 9719 E. 21st St. N. It’s open Monday through Saturday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday hours are from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Siena Tuscan Steakhouse

If it weren’t for Siena Tuscan Steakhouse, Greystone would probably be the undisputed winner of best restaurant atmosphere in Wichita. The dinner menu has four steak options:

  • 8-ounce prime center-cut filet.
  • 12-ounce prime Kansas City strip.
  • 12-ounce prime rib-eye.
  • 10-ounce Bavette flank steak.

The same options are available for lunch, except the center-cut filet and rib-eye aren’t prime. Siena also has a comprehensive wine and cocktail list to accompany these entrees.

The steakhouse is part of the Ambassador Hotel, and it’s within walking distance of downtown Wichita and Old Town. So, if you’re looking for entertainment after your meal, check out the events in the hotel or near this part of town. You can also stick around for drinks at the bar.

Siena Tuscan Steakhouse is at 104 S. Broadway. The kitchen is open Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., it stays open an extra hour on Friday, and it opens Saturdays and Sundays at 6:30 a.m. and closes at 11 p.m. and 10 p.m., respectively. The bar is open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Scotch & Sirloin

The atmosphere at Scotch & Sirloin is formal, modern, and inviting. You’ll immediately notice the impressive wine collection. In fact, this restaurant is nationally recognized for its wines and wine service. Four-person tables and booths for larger parties are available.

Scotch & Sirloin is at 5325 E. Kellogg Dr. It’s open weekdays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Sundays from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
